Opto-Mechanical Design Engineer

Mandatory qualifications:

  • Designs major portions of an opto-mechanical system, or technically advanced prototype/specific optical payload products. 

  • Develops or improves products and facilitates manufacturing operations. 

  • Develops basic data and makes preliminary layouts, sketches, and notes necessary to present design proposals. Investigates pertinent design factors such as ease of manufacture, availability of materials and equipment, interchangeability, replaceability, strength-weight efficiency, and contractual specification requirements and cost. 

  • Coordinates with other organizations affected by design development. 

  • Makes layouts of assemblies and details parts of devices, mechanisms, structures, and products. 

  • Checks completed layouts and drawings for clarity, completeness, conformity to standards, procedures, specifications, and accuracy of calculations and dimensioning. 

  • Identifies design errors, omissions, and other deficiencies, and recommends revisions and/or improvements in design layout to responsible engineers or designers. 

  • Works with other Engineers to develop a better understanding of the unique aspects of Opto-Mechanical design features and constraints. 

Candidates knowledge in:

  • Electro-Optics/NIR/SWIR/MWIR/LWIROptics • Lens and Mirror Alignment

  • Focal Planes Integration

  • Thermal/Environmental Analysis

Qualifications

  • Technical proficiency in mechanical design layout tools (Solid works, Creo, etc)

  • Understanding of or willingness to learn attributes necessary to mount optical elements without unacceptable distortion.

  • Knowledge of or willingness to learn unique design aspects of opto-mechanical systems.

  • Self-starter with initiative and tenacity to meet deadlines with quality products.

  • Team-player with the ability to work with a diverse range of individuals. Effective written and verbal communication skills.

  • Technical proficiency in mechanical design layout tools (Solid works, Creo, etc).

  • Knowledge of Optical Design software such as Zemax, Code V, ASAP. 


Senior Embedded Hardware Engineer

What to Expect:

The candidate would be responsible for carrying out detailed spec requirement based on functionality, translating spec into actual system requirement and implementation. Based on this candidate would also be required to work on selecting right components like FPGA, Micro-Controller, Memory ICs, Driver ICs, Interface designs, ADC/DAC components. Candidate is expected to work out detailed schematic implementation with this. Knowledge of PSPICE or equivalent to validate functionality is essential. Candidate is required to have sound knowledge of PCB layout concepts and requirement for high speed communication interface like USB, Ethernet as well as DDR communication to work with PCB layout engineer for PCB design. Candidate would be required to work on Firmware aspect in case of Microcontroller and expected to have basic RTL (VHDL/Verilog) knowledge in case of FPGA based implementation for system development. The candidate is expected to carry out the board bring up, debug and production support activity. The candidate is also expected to come up with schedule and track it from start to end for the project assigned to him or her.

Mandatory qualifications:

  • Strong fundamentals in Digital Electronics Design

  • Sound knowledge of FPGA or Microcontroller based designs

  • Good understanding of PSPICE based functionality simulation and validation

  • Skilled with Schematic Design tools

  • Very good understanding of PCB layout design for high speed interface based systems

  • Essential to have understanding of firmware and programming with firmware

  • Ability to convert requirements into design

  • Ability to start development from scratch

  • Willing to carry out development activities following essential development standards

Qualifications:

  • BTech (BE) or MTech (ME) in Electronics or Electronics and Communication

Experience:

  • Desired Experience: 4-6 years

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of :

    • RTL based FE design

    • ARM based system design

    • Camera System design

    • System design with various sensors like Accelerometer, Compas, Gyroscope etc

Image Processing Engineer

What to Expect:

Would be responsible for designing and implementing image processing algorithms for Camera Software. Algorithms would include post processing algorithms, image interpretation, computer vision related algorithms, face detection and recognition algorithms. The candidate must have competency to start from high level requirements, detailing out algorithmic metrics, designing and realizing a new algorithm as well as implementing an existing algorithm from literature in an efficient manner.

The candidate is expected to interact with application engineers, electronics engineer and optical engineers, to ensure that algorithms realized are optimal for the specific system. Candidate must have the right attitude to work in a start-up environment and ability to work independently with minimum guidance.

Mandatory qualifications:

  • Designing and implementing image processing algorithms

  • Experience in developing image processing algorithms in C or C++

  • Ability to perform literature survey and identify the most suitable algorithm for a given problem

  • Ability to propose features, which can add value to the Product

  • Knowledge of working with OpenCV

  • Strong coding skills

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Must have skills to develop algorithms optimized both for RAM and speed

  • Willing to carry out development activities following essential development standards

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors in Computer Science or ECE

  • Desired Experience: 4-5 years

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of working with Machine Learning algorithms and Deep learning algorithms


Embedded Hardware and RTL Engineer

What to Expect:

The candidate would be responsible for carrying out the FPGA hardware development for Camera Modules. This would involve understanding the application requirement, designing Hardware for the requirement (Schematic level), selection of the parts, RTL implementation of the application and algorithms, FPGA implementation of the same, functional verification through Simulation and validation of the hardware. The candidate is expected to have sound understanding of FPGA and hardware, should play role in the selection of the right kind of FPGA as well. Knowledge of ARM Core for embedded hardware is equally essential.

Mandatory qualifications:

  • Good understanding and command on Hardware design based on requirement

  • Strong hold on writing RTL using VHDL or Verilog

  • Strong understanding of algorithm implementation using RTL for high speed design

  • Understanding of timing closure and implementation of complex RTL algorithm in FPGA

  • Validation of the same at hardware level

  • Good understanding of ARM Core and interaction of FPGA with ARM for data transfer

Qualifications

  • BTech (BE) or MTech (ME)

  • Desired Experience: 2-4 years

Desirable:

  • Knowledge in working with image processing algorithm implementation into RTL


Embedded System Software Engineer

What to Expect:

Candidate would be responsible for carrying out the firmware development for Camera Modules. This would involve understanding schematic of Camera board, writing relevant device drivers, defining protocol for reading data and transferring data to PC. This would also involve defining and implementing the communication interface between Camera SoC (ARM and FPGA) and PC. This will also require co-working with ARM Core and Hardware (FPGA) as part of overall system development. Candidate must have the right attitude to work in a start-up environment and have skills to work independently with minimum guidance.

Mandatory qualifications:

  • Strong basics and working experience in developing with C/C++

  • Strong basics and working experience on embedded Linux.

  • Strong understanding and hands on experience with ARM Core and SoC (ARM+FPGA)

  • Good understanding of Communication protocols

  • Ability to understand schematic and come up with firmware architecture

  • Experience in working on real time streaming based applications

  • Ability to convert requirements into system architecture

  • Ability to start development from scratch

  • Willing to carry out development activities following essential development standards

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors in Electronics and Communications

  • Desired Experience: 2 to 4 years

Desirable:

  • Knowledge in working with advance FPGA cum Processors (Ex. Xilinx Zynq)
